How to transfer files from your phone to a PC

Open DeviceHop on the computer
Open devicehop.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari and select Start transfer. A temporary QR code and private pairing link appear.

Scan the QR code with your phone
Use the normal camera on your iPhone or Android phone. Tap the link that appears; there is no scanner app to install.

Wait for the devices to connect
Keep both browser tabs open. When both screens show Device connected, the private transfer session is ready.

Choose files on the phone
Select photos, videos, PDFs or other documents. The files appear on the PC as they arrive, ready to download.
Send files from PC to phone too
The same connection works in both directions. On the computer, drag files into DeviceHop or select Choose files. On the phone, download each received file when it is complete. You can send several files through one session without scanning another QR code.
No USB cable and no shared Wi-Fi required
Both devices only need a modern browser and internet access. They can be on the same Wi-Fi, on two different Wi-Fi networks, or one can use mobile data. A direct browser connection is preferred; when a network blocks it, encrypted traffic can use DeviceHop's relay without storing the file.
What files can you transfer?
DeviceHop accepts photos, videos, audio, PDFs, office documents, archives and other file types. The current limit is 512 MB per file, and you can select multiple files at once. Keep both tabs open until every transfer is marked complete.
Are phone-to-PC transfers private?
File contents are encrypted while travelling between the browsers. DeviceHop does not upload them into permanent cloud storage. The temporary session link is excluded from search engines and expires after inactivity.
